Serving on a City Council is an honor that few people get the opportunity to experience. Because we focus on public safety, parks, and public works which seem less partisan than some of the issues at the national level, it’s all the more important to elect people who love their community, have a history of volunteering and interacting with their neighbors, and who are individuals of character with strong values.

I had the privilege of working with Kristofer OBrien on a corporate talent development team. I reported to him for several years and facilitated with him multiple times as we traveled around the country. He is one of the most positive, grounded, and compassionate people I know. He is the precise example of someone who would be a standout Councilmember. He’s an educator/teacher, an amazing listener who lives and breathes empathy, a family man who is anchored in his community, and a leader who exemplifies powerful decision-making/problem solving skills necessary for effective leadership.

I’ve served on Eden Prairie’s City Council for 30 years, the last 8 years as Mayor. I know strong leaders when I see them. You literally cannot find a better candidate for Champlin’s City Council than Kristofer OBrien!
